at Texas A&M
University located in College Station,
Texas.
Here, you will find information about the membership, activities and
accomplishments of one of the first laboratories dedicated to high quality
cutting-edge research and development of wireless communication systems in
the state of Texas.
The mission of the WCL
is three-fold:
- To lead a culture of
excellence and integrity in the nation's research of wireless
communications;
- To challenge and educate
young minds, preparing them for an exciting future;
- To synergize with
industries to establish strong long-lasting partnerships.

The
WCL faculty and students gratefully acknowledge the SBC Foundation for a
10K gift which provided new computers for the WCL. Thank you!!
Upcoming Seminars:
Every Friday the WCL
seminar series hosts speakers related to wireless communications and
computing. Information is found at the Seminar
Series web page.

Dr. Jean-Francois Chamberland and Dr.
Henry Pfister receive NSF CAREER
Awards. Dr. Chamberland for
“Information-Aware Wireless Sensor Networks” and Dr. Pfister
for “Information Theory and Interactive Decoding for Finite-State
Channels”.
Dr.
Krishna Narayanan has
been unanimously selected as the winner of the 2006 best paper award in
signal processing and coding for data storage. the paper titled "Iterative
Soft-Input Soft-Output Decoding of Reed-Solomon
Codes by Adapting the Parity-Check Matrix". The award will be presented at
